IN OUR OWN IMAGE: THE STORY OF AUSTRALIAN ART

This fourth edition of In Our Own Image is for students in Years 9-12 throughout Australia. It tells the story of Australian art, by drawing on a wide range of critical and historical sources to support and enhance the text. The significant revisions reflect the changing nature of contemporary art practice and the way that art and art history are interpreted today. Included in this edition is: a photography section in each chapter; 'In Focus' feature studies which profile artists, artworks, architects and photographers; 'Our House' and 'Our City', snapshots of domestic and civil architecture throughout Australia's history; and 'Critical and Historical Investigations' (graded activities) at the end of each chapter.
