BOOK 1 is designed specifically to support the current VCE Japanese Units 1 & 2 commenced 2019. Keiko Aitchison started teaching Japanese in Victorian secondary schools (Years 7-12) in 1985 after obtaining her Australian Diploma of Education in 1984. Prior to that, she taught English for 9 years to senior high school students in Japan. Keiko has written a number of Japanese textbooks prior to this Wagasa series; books such as ‘Kookoo Seikatsu Book 1 and Book 2’, ‘Kanji Workbook’, ‘Gakkoo Seikatsu (preparation for VCE Japanese).

Keiko remains active in the teaching and examination of VCE Japanese. These Wagasa texts have been written based on her over 35 years of experience in teaching Japanese in Victorian schools.
