Sandra’s most recent book, Beauty, was a CBCA notable book and has been shortlisted in the Chief Minister’s NT Book Award.

In 2019 Sandra was recognised for her contribution to early childhood education in environmental awareness and threatened species conservation, when she won the Environment and Conservation Award in the NT Natural Resource Management Awards.
