Shipping and Delivery

Payment Methods - Online

We accept payments via PIN Payment (Mastercard or Visa). We do not store any credit card details. Our website uses a secure standard industry payment system with SSL security encryption certification. You can rest assured that it is safe to use your credit card on our website.

 

Payment Methods – In Store

We accept the following payments in store: We accept Cash, EFTPOS (debit and credit cards) and Lilydale Books vouchers. We DO NOT accept cheques (unless from a registered charity) or American Express cards. If you are from a charity and would like to confirm if your organisation’s cheques are accepted please contact us.

 

Dispatch

We process orders every business day and most orders are sent as soon as we receive them. If your items are in stock, they will generally leave our warehouse within the following timeframe:

February to October: Allow up to 1– 5 business days
November to January: Allow up to 15 business days

 

Delivery timeframes

The following timeframes are a guide as to when your parcel should be delivered once they have been dispatched from our warehouse:

Melbourne Metro: 2 – 5 business days
Regional Victoria: 3 – 5 business days
Interstate: 5 – 10 business days

Most parcels are delivered within the earlier estimated timeframe. During December and January it may take longer than indicated due to the high volume of parcels received by Australia Post.

At this time of year, our current delivery timeframes are:

Catalogue Orders: 2-3 business days (when items are in stock)
Booklist Orders: 2-3 business days (when items are in stock)

 

Postage & Handling

Shipping site wide is $9.95, regardless of parcel size.

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are intended for shipment within Australia.

Occasionally we have special postage discounts or offers. These will either automatically be applied or a code will need to be entered at checkout and may change without notice.

 

Tracking

Our parcels are sent via Australia Post. You will receive an email and SMS from Lilydale Books once your order has been sent.

Tracking details will be provided in a separate email from Australia Post. You will also receive notifications via SMS and/or email updating you on the progress of your delivery.

If you have multiple orders they may be shipped at different times. This will be indicated by multiple tracking numbers.

 

Claims

Claims for damaged or missing items will not be recognised after 7 days of the parcel being received. If you have received a damaged item or you are missing an item, please contact Lilydale Books in writing by emailing info@lilydalebooks.com.au.

No claims will be recognized after 7 days of receiving your parcel.

 

Packing

Lilydale Books will ensure that goods are prepared with a reasonable amount of packaging to ensure safe delivery. No responsibility will be taken if an item is damaged during transit. Lilydale Books endeavours to provides cardboard packaging and Envirofill pellets that can safely be reused or recycled.

 

Delivery Delays

If there are significant delivery delays (due to late publications) a customer service representative will contact you via email, phone or SMS to let you know about the delay. Be sure to check your emails regularly.

 

Product Substitution

If an item is unavailable at time of packing, the product may be substituted with a similar product of the same or greater value. This will only apply to stationery items and not books.

 

Back Ordered Items

If an item is on backorder due to a late publication or temporarily out of stock, it will be delivered as soon as it becomes available. An SMS will be sent advising you when the item is on its way.
